Vitiligo: Treatment through Allopathy vs. Homeopathy

Abstract
Vitiligo is a chronic skin condition characterized by the loss of melanocytes, leading to depigmented patches on the skin. The treatment options for vitiligo primarily include allopathic and homeopathic approaches, each with its own mechanisms, efficacy, and limitations. Allopathic treatment primarily focuses on halting the spread of depigmentation and stimulating repigmentation through corticosteroids, phototherapy, and surgical interventions. Homeopathy, on the other hand, aims to treat vitiligo holistically, targeting immune imbalances and stimulating the body’s self-healing mechanisms. This paper compares the effectiveness, safety, and scientific basis of both treatment modalities, providing insights into their potential benefits and limitations.
